Sassy Social Share is 100% compatible with WPML. Following are the steps to install and configure both these plugins together.
Getting started and WPML’s set-up wizard
- Intall and activate Sassy Social Share plugin from the Plugins > Add New section in the admin area of your website.
- Install and configure WPML plugin as described here
WPML translation modes and tools
WPML offers two different translation modes. Following are the main features.
Translate Everything Automatically
All the text of the Sassy Social Share plugin except the text of the widgets (configurable from the Appearance > Widgets section in the admin panel) will be translated automatically via this mode. Translations can then be reviewed on the front-end and edited by the user (or local translator) if needed. So, if you are not using Sassy Social Share widgets, you don’t need to translate anything manually unless you want to.
Translate What You Choose
You can pick and choose what to translate, when to translate it, and who will translate it. This mode allows for content to be translated yourself via WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor, translated by professional translation services, or even translated by a team of local translators. You can also translate content automatically with this option – the difference between this and Translate Everything Automatically is you choose what gets translated automatically.
Translating content in pages, posts, and custom post types
If you choose the Translate Everything Automatically mode, all page, post and CPT content will be translated automatically. Text in the plugin’s widgets that is not translated automatically can be translated via the String Translation Module.
